About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive, champion, and execute initiatives supporting the transformation of the SSM Health landscape
  • Understand current business processes, future goals, and system functionality to identify solutions and execute change
  • Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including hiring, performance management, training and development, compensation recommendations, and separations
  • Manage HR technology installations, conversions, and upgrades, and develop implementation plans
  • Identify opportunities to support manual processes and provide cost-benefit analyses of automated solutions
  • Synchronize projects and interdependencies, coordinate resource capacity and availability, facilitate transitions from projects to operations, and identify barriers to change
  • Collaborate on conceptual design and translate business needs into innovative technology solutions and features
  • Build, maintain, and implement strategic roadmaps for HR Centers of Excellence, including user experience, talent, recruiting, learning, total rewards, and HR service delivery
  • Manage project risks and issues, establish success metrics, and track and measure project performance
  • Create metrics and dashboards to monitor workload and team productivity
  • Monitor and report on SLAs and KPIs, address critical system performance issues, and support accountability
  • Review support team structure to assist demand management and capacity planning
  • Provide thought leadership on HR technology solutions and strategies
  • Serve as strategist, problem solver, team enabler, and barrier remover for the directly managed team and broader HR team
  • Lead teams and create a culture of innovation and trust
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years’ experience
  • Two years’ leadership experience
  • Two years’ Information Technology change management experience
  • Strong expertise in Workday administration, optimization, and strategy
  • Proven experience leading HR technology teams
  • Demonstrated people leadership and talent development experience
  • Experience leading system enhancements, process improvements, and organizational change initiatives
  • Ability to partner across departments to align technology solutions with business needs
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry
  • No required professional license or certification
