Key responsibilities & impact

Integrate SSM Health’s Catholic Identity, mission, and values throughout the Oklahoma region
Promote organizational integrity and cultivate a values-based organizational culture
Unite people around the organization’s heritage as a ministry founded by the Franciscan Sisters of Mary
Impart SSM Health’s mission, values, and vision and facilitate values integration in all activities
Collaborate with regional and system Mission Integration staff
Provide a credible mission perspective on hospital leadership teams and other leadership groups
Facilitate formation experiences for leaders, physicians, and staff
Collaborate on planning Mission Days
Ensure an organized and active Mission Awareness Team in every entity
Ensure organization of care for the caregiver in every hospital
Lead mission-related activities, celebrations, and prayers
Support and supervise Ethics Committees and ensure practices reflect best practices
Support decision-making processes throughout the ministries served
Ensure alignment with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services
Assist in implementing Pastoral Care strategy and support Pastoral Care staff
Collaborate on evaluation of services, development of Pastoral Care staff, and pastoral care best practices
Cultivate relationships and communication with local ordinaries
Lead collaboration with local parishes and faith communities
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in Theology, Health Care Mission, Ethics, or related field
Ten years' experience in pastoral ministry
Five years of leadership preferred
Deep understanding of Catholic theology, especially its social, moral, and spiritual tradition
Strong public speaking and facilitation skills
Strategic thinking, business acumen, adaptability, and agility
Communication skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects
