About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collect data directly from patients and referring provider offices to confirm and create scheduled appointments for patient services
  • Coordinate scheduling and referrals to other healthcare providers and services
  • Obtain approval for schedule changes or cancellations as appropriate
  • Assist with maintaining and updating provider contact information
  • Enter medical appointments, special instructions, and patient information into the electronic medical system
  • Follow site-specific protocols and maintain up-to-date documentation to ensure compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Support the Eye POD through appointment scheduling, rescheduling, referrals, and Work Qs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
  • No experience required
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0–25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for near and far distances and to identify and distinguish colors
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech for oral communication
  • Ability to hear alarms and malfunctioning machinery
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25–50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing
  • Required professional license and/or certifications: None
  • Availability for Monday–Friday day-shift hours
