About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary Accountant for SSIA, including: Receipting and applying incoming funds
Managing vendor payments
Assisting with month-end close processes
Support SSIU Accounts Receivable functions, including: Processing Notices of Intent to Cancel (NOICs) and cancellations
Maintaining accurate accounts receivable records and follow-ups
Provide backup and support for key accounting functions, including: Assisting with team responsibilities during absences
Supporting vendor payables during high-volume periods (approximately one week per month)
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across financial processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (strongly preferred)
Experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
Open to recent graduates
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
Insurance or MGA experience is a plus but not required
