About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide onsite technical support for automated material handling systems in warehouse and distribution center environments.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and support PLC-controlled automation equipment while working closely with customers, software developers, and cross-functional teams to maximize system uptime, reliability, and operational performance.
- Diagnose system faults and production issues through root cause analysis, system testing, and corrective actions to restore equipment operation and minimize downtime.
- Monitor system performance, analyze operational reports, and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and overall system performance.
- Collaborate with onsite personnel, software developers, customers, and global support teams to resolve technical issues, communicate system status, and ensure continuous system operation.
- Maintain accurate documentation, help-desk tickets, and technical records while developing training materials and providing technical guidance to internal teams and customers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience.
- Experience supporting PLCs, Siemens S7 PLCs, or .NET-based automation systems.
- Knowledge of industrial automation equipment, including conveyors, automated cranes, packaging systems, and drive technologies.
- Familiarity with industrial communication networks such as Ethernet, AS-i, and PROFIBUS.
- Experience with AutoCAD or EPLAN is preferred.
