About the role

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Gather, document, and analyze detailed business requirements from various stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and other elicitation techniques.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development teams, ensuring clarity and completeness.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, quality assurance testers, and other team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain various documentation including use cases, process flows, data models, and system diagrams.
  • Participate in the design, testing, and implementation phases of new systems and enhancements.
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are fit for purpose.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for implemented systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Facilitate effective communication between business units and IT teams, acting as a liaison.
  • Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to business systems analysis.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis processes and methodologies within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, preferably within the financial services or FinTech industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, prototyping).
  • Experience with various methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Familiarity with database concepts and SQL for data analysis.
  • Ability to create clear and concise documentation including functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
  • Experience with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
