About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build stable, secure and scalable platforms powering SRT's next generation of web technologies
- Influence architecture and technical direction within a small team of experienced engineers
- Build scalable APIs
- Process live maritime telemetry
- Develop rich LiveView interfaces
- Work with large geospatial datasets
- Design fault-tolerant distributed services
- Help shape technical strategy across the platform
- Improve deployment, observability and developer tooling
- Prototype and experiment with architectures, deployment models and OTP solutions
- Ingest, process and visualise live data from thousands of assets across the globe
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experienced/Senior-level engineering experience
- Experience with Elixir and OTP
- Experience with Phoenix and LiveView
- Experience designing distributed systems
- Experience building APIs and backend services
- Experience with distributed relational and/or OLAP databases
- Experience with containerised applications and modern deployment practices
- Experience with cloud and on-premises platforms
- Ability to design maintainable software that evolves over time
- Experience with performance profiling
- Experience with geospatial systems, MapLibre or PostGIS would be highly advantageous but is not essential
