Key responsibilities & impact

Managing all purchasing activities and processes for assigned vendors
Placing purchase orders and managing supplier/vendor relationships
Monitoring purchased inventory and managing price changes
Developing and maintaining an understanding of market conditions impacting the building materials industry
Negotiating pricing, terms, conditions, and program details with vendors
Providing backup to front counter sales when necessary
Making sound purchasing decisions based on knowledge & experience

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree emphasis in Business or Finance preferred
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related work experience
Strong Microsoft office skills
Experience in all aspects of the supplier/vendor relationship
