About the role
- Drive, refine, and execute a strategic product roadmap to meet HR1 mandates in collaboration with DHS and external stakeholders
- Define product vision, key milestones, and success metrics aligned with program goals
- Lead cross-functional teams to research problems, assess opportunities, and execute implementation plans
- Facilitate development of business, functional, and system requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis
- Serve as a liaison between business teams, IT, and vendors throughout the product lifecycle
- Translate policy and administrative goals into impactful digital product solutions
- Improve business and system operations through policy, process, and standards development
- Utilize user research, analytics, and insights to drive product decisions and prioritization
- Deliver high-quality recommendations and presentations to executive and leadership audiences
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical or strategic product management
- Experience delivering technology for Health and Human Services (HHS) or federally funded programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, or Unemployment Insurance
- Proven experience managing complex technical products involving legacy systems and complex data structures
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in government environments
- Strong ability to communicate with non-technical audiences and support teams new to Agile and user-centered design
- Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills
- Strong facilitation, leadership, and people management skills
- Experience managing vendor teams and working with multiple vendors
- Demonstrated bias toward action, delivery, and results
