About the role

  • Design, test and develop mechanical systems and various components adhering to company and industry standards such as hydronic boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, valves and controls.
  • Contribute to innovation, continuous improvement, and product reliability through engineering best practices.
  • Analyze and interpret test data, making design modifications, if necessary, to meet product performance and safety requirements.
  • Work with designers on the detailed layout, prints, parts specifications, and bill of materials for the product.
  • Create 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to define product requirements, specifications, and design goals for assigned projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of activities related to product design and development.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to formulate and update product design specifications.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to other departments as needed and for assigned projects.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or product development, specifically in the design and development of boilers or similar heating systems is a plus.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) for 3D modeling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with product testing, validation, and compliance with regulatory standards, such as ASME, CSA, and ANSI.
  • Experience with boiler control systems, automation, and Internet of Things (IOT) technologies is a plus.
