Solutions Engineer

• Own the technical side of the sales cycle - from discovery and requirements gathering through demo delivery, proposals, and RFP responses
• Build and deliver tailored, configured product demonstrations that connect SpryPoint's capabilities to a utility's specific needs and pain points
• Become a product expert across SpryPoint's full suite - SpryCIS, SpryEngage, SpryMobile, and more - and stay sharp on industry trends and emerging technologies
• Design solutions that are practical, usable, and built around how utilities actually operate
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospective customers throughout the sales process - the person they turn to when they have hard questions
• Partner closely with Account Executives across territories to move deals forward
• Support technical proposals, system architecture documentation, and RFQ/RFP responses
• Represent SpryPoint at field marketing events, conferences, our National Users Conference, and regional trade shows
• Travel approximately 25% of the time (roughly once a month), with occasional peaks up to 50%

• Evolve the CoE into a more strategic, scalable, and insight-led enablement function
• Define and own the CoE strategy across internal teams, SI partners, and clients
• Reframe the CoE roadmap through a customer journey lens
• Align capability development across stakeholder groups
• Design and evolve SpryPoint’s certification strategy for clients and SI partners
• Scale structured training and methodology to improve delivery outcomes

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with managers and directors across assigned client groups, serving as their primary HR point of contact and a credible advisor on all people-related matters.
• Develop a deep understanding of business unit goals, challenges, and operating context to proactively align HR strategy with operational needs.
• Leverage HR analytics, dashboards, and AI‑enabled tools to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across workforce, engagement, performance, and retention.
• Own and lead performance management processes within client groups, advising managers on best practices for feedback, documentation, development planning, and accountability.
• Partner with leaders to set meaningful performance goals and provide expert guidance on performance improvement strategies.
• Coach and advise managers through difficult conversations, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary processes — escalating high-risk situations with well-developed recommendations.
• Own and resolve a broad range of employee relations matters across both Canada and the U.S., applying sound judgment and deep expertise in employment law across both jurisdictions.
• Lead workplace investigations independently, ensuring outcomes are handled with empathy, confidentiality, rigour, and timeliness.
• Manage leaves of absence (e.g., parental, disability) end-to-end, ensuring a smooth employee experience and full compliance with relevant legislation across Canada and the U.S.
• Collaborate with managers and employees to identify internal growth opportunities by developing career pathing frameworks, facilitating career conversations, and supporting transitions such as lateral moves, promotions, or team changes.
• Manage the execution and continuous improvement of HR programs within client groups, including engagement surveys, performance cycles, and learning and development initiatives.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of HR processes and policies in collaboration with the People Operations team, bringing a client-group lens to enterprise solutions.
• Partner with business leaders on change management efforts during organizational transitions, restructures, and strategic shifts — advising leaders on approach, communication, and people impact.

Product Marketing

• Lead GTM Operations End-to-End by setting the execution rhythm for the team
• Develop and lead two direct reports: the Manager, GTM Systems & Analytics and the Manager, Field Operations
• Run the forecast rhythm set by the VP, including deal-level inspection, pipeline reviews, and data collection
• Translate VP-level strategy into quarterly and monthly execution plans
• Keep deal desk, pipeline management, and reporting running cleanly
• Define the technical vision for SpryPoint's GTM infrastructure
• Lead the shift from manual processes to automated, scalable workflows
• Stand up marketing ops infrastructure from scratch with HubSpot administration and Salesforce integration
• Ensure dashboards, reports, and analytics are accurate, timely, and trusted by the teams relying on them
• Own data integrity across the GTM stack
• Improve opportunity-to-bookings workflows, deal desk mechanics, and cross-team handoffs
