About the role

  • Write clean, performant, and maintainable code
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, designers, and product managers, to deliver world class customer experiences
  • Participate in and conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Continuously improve the codebase by identifying areas for refactoring and optimization to enhance maintainability and scalability
  • Deliver business value by shipping code changes, independently own and deliver stories, and fix production bugs as part of support rotation
  • Author technical specification plans for roadmap projects and collaborate on delivery plans
  • Mentor junior teammates and collaborate with product managers to ensure timely, quality project delivery
  • Understand and work with the web application's JavaScript build system and deployment processes

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with planning, building, and releasing frontend applications with web technologies (Javascript, HTML, and CSS)
  • Experience building web applications with React, Redux, and/or similar web technologies
  • Confidently write web applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with JavaScript build systems (e.g., Gulp, webpack) (optional)
  • Experience working in a large codebase (preferred)
  • Communication and project management skills from collaborating with people across different teams and functional areas (preferred)
  • Must be based in either British Columbia or Ontario, Canada
