About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure proper supplies and PPE are available for the day's patients
- Access the daily schedule using mobile technology and travel to each patient's home
- Build welcoming connections with diverse patients
- Collect relevant patient information and perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, diabetic foot screenings, retina exams, ECGs, and other low-acuity diagnostic services
- Render services comfortably and conveniently for patients
- Properly label collected samples and coordinate drop-off with the appropriate laboratory or shipment facility
- Document visits using a mobile app and coordinate care through HIPAA-secure messaging apps
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in venipuncture
- Dependability, professionalism, problem-solving, and commitment to customer service
- Ability to work autonomously with exceptional quality
- Willingness to learn and apply evidence-based practices
- Technological proficiency with mobile devices and HIPAA-secure messaging apps
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and use of a personal vehicle to travel to patient homes
- Ability to access and navigate patient homes, including climbing stairs and carrying up to 20 pounds while walking
- Must pass a national background check, DMV check, and valid clinical license search
- State-required licensure and/or proof of training
- National certification where state-level licensure is not required
- Basic Life Support certification
- Proof of completion of a course/program or certification based on licensure level
- Valid driver's license
- Current vehicle insurance
- Proof of vaccination or immunity for COVID plus booster, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB test within the past year, annual influenza vaccination or signed exemption, and TDaP within the past 10 years
- Ability to travel away from home for mandatory training during the first two weeks of employment
- Ability to travel within a service area up to 90+ minutes from home
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Active Phlebotomy state license for California (CPT) requested in the application form
