About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and analyze complex customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606.
- Serve as a technical revenue accounting subject matter expert, researching and documenting complex revenue recognition issues and providing guidance on ASC 606 application and accounting treatment.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close activities, and commissions accounting close activities and deliverables (recons, revenue dashboards & reporting, revenue reserves, flux).
- Partner with cross functional teams to ensure accurate revenue forecasting and reporting.
- Prepare revenue related reports for financial statement disclosures.
- Lead or support the implementation and migration of revenue accounting systems.
- Collaborate to define systems requirements and ensure alignment with accounting policies.
- Perform systems testing, validation and user training for new implementations or enhancements.
- Interface with internal and external audit on revenue related issues, support US GAAP audit and maintain SOX control documentation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3‐5 years of experience in revenue accounting role in SAAS technology or subscription-based industry.
- Public accounting or public company experience required, CPA a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
- Proficiency using the NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management module in multi-currencies and multi-Subsidiaries environment.
- Experience in Power BI, Salesforce CRM, and RevPro a plus.
- System Implementation and UAT experience (NetSuite, RevPro) preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
