About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the US Marketing Strategy and deliver the US P&L
  • Report to the SVP and Head of Rare Tumor Franchise, N.A., and contribute to the US Commercial Leadership Team
  • Manage annual US revenue and operating plans and secure investments for inline and launch brands
  • Champion the company in rare diseases and build relationships with patient, advocacy, clinician, and major stakeholder communities
  • Serve as internal subject matter expert on emerging US healthcare ecosystem trends and their impact on rare disease and oncology management
  • Drive patient identification and removal of barriers to access to care
  • Provide thought leadership and support executive decision-making on critical commercial business challenges and US market developments
  • Design and develop US Marketing capabilities, including roles, accountabilities, and systems
  • Align Commercial, Medical, Supply Chain, Corporate Affairs, Legal and Compliance, Regulatory, and other stakeholders on strategy and plans
  • Shape US launch planning excellence and go-to-market strategies
  • Advise on US product label development and competitive positioning
  • Hire, mentor, and develop talent
  • Ensure US Commercial strategy reflects patient and customer insights
  • Manage US revenue, monthly and annual financial goals, margin, and profitability
  • Partner with global teams on business development, licensing, and lifecycle management strategies
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related disciplines
  • 10+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries
  • 7+ years of related experience in leadership roles in marketing, sales, and other commercial functions
  • Experience with brand leadership, inline marketing, specialty marketing, and P&L
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including 1 year managing multiple functions
  • Experience managing commercial partnerships and co-promotions
  • Demonstrated success managing and developing sales, marketing, and related commercial teams
  • Strong matrix leadership and general management capabilities
  • Recent experience leading in high-growth, fast-paced, start-up-like environments
  • Refined executive presentation skills
  • Ability to engage, influence, and navigate senior and complex stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders toward shared objectives
  • Ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Proactive approach to advising and coaching colleagues
  • Agility in an evolving environment
