About the role
- Establish and oversee the commercial forecasting process within the Rare Tumor business.
- Create, update, and maintain forecast models based on appropriate primary and secondary data and market understanding.
- Manage U.S. forecasts for Desmoid Tumor, NF1-PN, and Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor therapeutic areas.
- Provide transparency into key drivers, sensitivities, risks & opportunities to ensure Organization remains agile and data-driven in its decision making.
- Drive the development, maintenance, harmonization, and continuous improvement of the various forecasting models.
- Understand brand and market dynamics to facilitate optimal decision making through cross functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Finance, and Production Planning.
- Identify and use a comprehensive set of data/information to build the most robust forecast assumptions.
- Develop scenarios to assess the impact of different market events and team executions; Define opportunities and risks associated with the forecast.
- Partner with Finance and Supply Chain and other Operations Partners to inform Long-Range Planning and the Sales & Operations Planning process.
- Identify ways to improve forecast model to align with dynamic markets and improve quality of assumptions.
- Develop and maintain documentation of forecast assumptions and changes across cycles, data sources, and forecast cycle operations include presentation template.
- Effectively manage multiple projects with varying levels of engagement, scope, and specifications.
- Coach and mentor new talent within the forecasting team.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
- 10-12 years’ experience in forecasting and analytics, preferably all in Pharma or healthcare related field
- 5+ years in people leadership role
- Oncology and/or rare disease experience preferred
- Expertise in forecast methodologies
- Expertise in MS Office, specifically Excel
- Familiarity with Pharma data sources and suppliers
- Ability to work in matrixed team
- Ability to influence without authority
- Confidence in presenting to senior management
