Plan and execute activities that meet the company's aggressive new business growth goals
Proactively uncover sales opportunities with targeted prospects within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
Demonstrate business development and capture management acumen
Collaborate with Sprezzatura team members, subject matter experts, senior leadership, clients, vendors, and teaming partners
Provide direct assistance in the business development pipeline of opportunities
Conduct research, review, and analyze data from several databases
Identify/qualify new clients and opportunities and negotiate and close sales
Provide accurate sales forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Initiate client-facing efforts and understand client needs
Maintain a collaborative atmosphere by sharing input and ideas
Requirements
7-10 years of demonstrable, successful experience providing services and solutions to the Federal Government (preferably with the Department of Veterans Affairs)
Expertise with the Federal acquisition process and regulations
Comfortable in all aspects of the sales cycle, have excellent prospecting skills, and a strong, established network within the federal government
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision
Possess experience with developing new business within the VA
Have experience shaping and closing a variety of opportunities, including a relevant mix of program types, complexities, products, technologies, and customers
Travel will be required
