About the role

  • Build scalable, reliable backend services and APIs using Python
  • Modify and optimize data transformations within the modern data stack
  • Work on distributed systems involving Kafka, Redis, and PostgreSQL
  • Improve performance and reliability of services, queries, and ETL/ELT processes
  • Participate in design reviews, planning, and peer code reviews
  • Collaborate within Software & Technology teams to deliver ecommerce software

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of engineering experience
  • Strong in Python; proficiency with FastAPI or similar frameworks
  • Familiarity with SQL and other languages a plus
  • Experience with DBT, Snowflake, S3, or AWS Glue
  • Solid experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
  • Practical experience with Kafka
  • Experience optimizing ETL/ELT and data transformations
  • Experience with CI/CD and observability tools
  • Experience with Dagster or similar workflow orchestration tools is a plus
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday during India hours
  • Must have home office setup meeting listed hardware and internet requirements
