About the role
- Work closely with fellow product designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to execute design solutions across platforms
- Design user flows, wireframes, accessible high-fidelity UI, and prototypes for web and mobile interfaces that address user needs and align with strategic goals
- Apply systems thinking to ensure design consistency and scalability across multiple products and features
- Leverage user research and data-driven insights to inform design decisions and continuously refine solutions
- Proactively identify design opportunities, surface user pain points, and propose scalable solutions
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, design critiques, and collaborative sessions to align and push the work forward
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders, clearly presenting design rationale and articulating how designs drive measurable business impact
- Provide and apply feedback in order to iterate on design work, improving clarity, usability, and polish
- Apply and maintain SpotOn’s design system to achieve consistency across products
- Plan and execute user research efforts, synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations
- Mentor junior and mid-level designers through feedback, pairing, and sharing best practices
Requirements
- Relevant education or training in product design, UX, UI and/or interaction design
- Higher-education degree or boot camp certification are acceptable
- Professional portfolio that highlights your process, design thinking, aesthetic excellence and problem solving skills
- Mastery of design tools (e.g., Figma, FigJam, Miro, Notion) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack, Jira)
- Mastery in user-centered design principles, interaction design, visual design, and systems thinking
- Strong aesthetic UI capabilities and comfort working with and evolving design systems
- Demonstrated success designing digital products and prototypes within cross-functional teams
- Understanding of WCAG AA Accessibility Compliance
- Skilled in user research, with the ability to plan, run, and synthesize insights and data to inform and improve design decisions
- Experience defining personas and/or behavioral archetypes and journey maps in order to think holistically about the end-to-end user experience
- Ability to clearly communicate design concepts and influence cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools or automation in the design process
- Ability to prioritize and execute work in a timely manner
- Demonstrated ability to handle complexity, adapt quickly, and maintain clarity in design solutions
- Experience mentoring other designers and elevating team craft
