Collaborate with fellow Data Scientists and Data Engineers and cross-functional teams (product managers, engineers, designers, user researchers) to identify and answer key product questions via data
Build out and deliver innovative product features that create valuable and engaging listening moments
Study user behaviour, evaluate critical initiatives, and experiment with new features to drive product decisions
Perform analysis on large sets of data to extract impactful insights about user behaviour and product usage
Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders within the team and across Spotify
Deliver work alongside major technology partners for Spotify consumer experiences (desktop, TV, speakers, smartwatches)
Requirements
Relevant experience or a degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics or another quantitative subject area
Previous experience working as a Data Scientist for consumer-facing digital product development (strongly preferred)
Mid to senior level Data Scientist experience
Strong interpersonal skills and great stakeholder management
Expert in data visualisation and presentation; can interpret information into clear actions and strategy
Ability to tackle loosely defined problems and design relevant analytical approaches
Proficiency with Python or similar programming languages
Experience with Google BigQuery and expertise in SQL
Hands-on knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and experimentation at scale
Experience developing hypotheses, collaborating with non-Data Scientists to clarify assumptions and influence decisions
Extensive experience using analysis techniques such as linear and logistic regression, significance testing, and statistical modelling
