Lead and grow Spotify Korea’s Social Marketing & Content team, providing vision, mentorship, and a roadmap for future team expansion
Define Spotify’s social persona in Korea and set platform-specific strategies (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter/X, TikTok upon launch, and beyond)
Own and lead tentpole campaigns and social-first activations, ensuring Spotify is a central voice in K-pop, K-music and Korean cultural conversations
Influence and align cross-functional partners (Music, Comms, Marketing, Editorial, global teams, and external creators/agencies) around social-first thinking
Partner with producers to develop creative-first, platform-native storytelling and editorial partnerships that resonate with Korean audiences and travel globally
Act as Spotify’s cultural radar in Korea — identifying trends, fandom dynamics, and innovative formats that shape culture
Amplify Korea’s cultural exports by shaping social storytelling that starts locally but travels globally — shaping Korean music, creators, fandoms influence in culture worldwide
Champion data-led creativity: use insights not just to measure, but to shape strategy, test new formats, and demonstrate both cultural and business impact
Serve as a point of excellence for social within APAC, collaborating closely with global teams to share learnings and elevate standards and be a key opinion leader and partner in Korea’s cultural export through music, video and audio
Requirements
A strategic manager with a proven ability to set vision, build high-performing teams, and inspire people to deliver their best work
You have at least 12+ years of experience in social and content marketing, including senior leadership roles driving strategy, creative, and execution in Korea
Deep understanding of digital and social platforms, fandom behavior, and cultural conversations in Korea
Experienced in building authority with fandoms, creators, and industry players, ensuring Spotify is seen as a central voice in K-pop and Korean culture
Confident in using data and insights to shape creative, set goals, and measure both cultural and business impact
Skilled at managing complex team member networks — from agencies and creators to cross-functional teams and global partners
Naturally plugged into the internet, music, and fan culture — always on the pulse of trends, memes, and cultural moments
Background in entertainment, gaming, music labels, media outlets, or tech is strongly preferred
Native in Korean and proficient in English, with outstanding communication and storytelling skills
Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable leading in fast-paced, evolving environments
