About the role

The Personalization (PZN) team builds recommendations and personalization features for Spotify.
Build the platform to ingest, model, materialize high-scale, event-driven user behavior data and serve at scale.
Develop, deploy, and operate Java services that impact millions of users.
Support machine learning projects powering individualized user experiences.
Work with large-scale data pipelines and frameworks like Scio, BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform, and Apache Beam.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and team members; deliver scalable, testable, maintainable, high-quality code.
Share knowledge and mentor to promote standard methodologies and team growth.

You have worked extensively with backend services in Java at high scale.
You are familiar with the concepts of data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques.
You are familiar with distributed data processing frameworks like Apache Beam and Apache Spark.
You want to work on a team employing agile software development processes, data-driven development, and responsible experimentation.
