About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversees program staff, program operations, and services
Conducts staff performance evaluations and development plans
Provides weekly and monthly team meetings for feedback
Communicates regularly with supervisor on program updates
Coordinates outreach to the community to recruit participants
Prepares various documents and reports for internal and external reporting
Provides weekly individual supervision to each staff member
Collaborates with Program Manager and Curriculum Departments for staff development workshops
Monitors and ensures all program compliance.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required with preference in Education, Psychology, or Social Work
At least 18.0 credit hours in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years experience in urban education, youth development, or community organizing
At least one (1) year of supervisory experience
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with youth & adolescents in New York City.
Strong understanding of New York City and New York State education requirements in an urban setting.
Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
