About the role

  • Write multiple daily blog posts about Philadelphia sports, regional culture, legal sports betting, and prediction markets
  • Contribute to our social media platforms while looking for unique and creative story angles that other outlets aren't pursuing
  • Attend local events with some regularity, not as a beat writer, but as a flexible jack-of-all-trades who can identify the offbeat things that make the region unique

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Philadelphia sports
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in journalism or content creation
  • The ability to write in a casual blog style, 5-7 posts per day on average
  • Social media skills and experience (X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Must be able to offer predictions for Philly sports games, and other massive sporting events throughout the year
  • Must have at least a basic understanding of legal sports betting apps and event trading platforms (prediction markets) & comfortability tying Philly sports predictions into betting markets
  • On-camera experience is helpful
  • Cannot be a Cowboys, Mets, or Celtics fan
