About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Audit and rationalize Spok’s existing partner portfolio
  • Establish criteria, engagement models, mutual commitments, and measurable partner contribution
  • Manage and grow productive partner relationships and maintain partner records
  • Exit underperforming partnerships professionally
  • Act as internal champion and project manager for partnership deliverables
  • Coordinate Product, Engineering, QA, Sales, and other teams to complete integrations, roadmap input, and co-sell commitments
  • Identify and resolve internal friction, ownership issues, capacity constraints, and competing priorities
  • Report to the CRO on blockers, partnership health, and execution needs
  • Identify and recruit channel, referral, alliance, and technology partners
  • Design and implement referral, co-marketing, co-sell, onboarding, enablement, certification, incentive, and tiered partner programs
  • Build joint go-to-market plans and track partner performance metrics
  • Align partner programs with Sales and address channel conflict, commission, and co-sell concerns
  • Demonstrate partner value through pipeline data, deal attribution, and wins
  • Support Sales calls, deals, QBRs, and co-selling materials
  • Identify and structure technology partnerships, integrations, connectors, and embedded solutions
  • Manage UCAS/CCAS and CTI platform vendor relationships, including Cisco, Avaya, and Alcatel-Lucent
  • Establish vendor communication channels for upgrades, API changes, deprecations, and releases
  • Coordinate integration testing with Engineering and QA
  • Maintain version compatibility matrices and identify risks to Spok functionality
  • Represent Spok in developer and ISV programs such as Cisco DevNet and Avaya DevConnect
  • Manage partner agreements, technical certifications, and compliance requirements
  • Report on ecosystem health, pipeline contribution, integration compatibility, and program progress
  • Provide market intelligence and partner feedback for product roadmap and competitive positioning
  • Represent Spok at partner and industry engagements, conferences, and vendor forums
  • Escalate decisions requiring CRO or executive involvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor degree
  • 8–12+ years of experience in partner development, business development, or strategic alliances
  • Experience in healthcare IT, SaaS, or enterprise software
  • Track record of building partner ecosystems that generate measurable revenue
  • Experience managing channel partners, including resellers, VARs, and referral partners
  • Experience managing technology partners, including integrations, OEMs, and ISVs
  • Direct experience managing UCAS/CCAS, CTI, or communication infrastructure platform vendors such as Cisco, Avaya, Alcatel-Lucent, or Genesys
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams
  • Experience earning Sales team trust and driving co-sell adoption
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a CRO-reporting structure with executive accountability
