Shape long-term engagement strategies, drive account planning, and coordinate with internal teams to align on mission objectives and programmatic needs
Navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems, including technical, operational, and procurement channels within sensitive or classified environments
Collaborate with in-house sales engineering, security, and delivery teams to design and deliver solutions tailored to critical use cases such as cyber defence, threat detection, insider risk, and operational resilience
Apply Splunk’s value proposition to real-world intelligence and security challenges—leveraging data to drive situational awareness and mission outcomes
Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for your customers, ensuring they gain full value from their investments in data and technology
Engage regularly with C-level, senior officials, and technical leaders, understanding both strategic and tactical priorities
Operate within a high-performing team culture with a focus on shared goals, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
Proven success (minimum 3 years) in strategic account management or mission engagement within the UK public sector, ideally with direct experience supporting intelligence agencies, national security organisations, or secure government departments
Ideally, holding existing SC or DV clearance within the community
Deep understanding of the operational needs and challenges facing the UK intelligence and security sector, including sensitivity to governance, risk, and assurance processes
Experience managing complex account environments, building trusted relationships, and aligning technology solutions to evolving mission priorities
Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and technical teams alike
Strong executive presence, with comfort navigating ‘C-Suite’ and senior official engagements within government or defence
Experience of closing complex software or platform deals, ideally within government procurement frameworks (e.g. G-Cloud, DOS, CCS, or equivalent)
Understanding of SaaS or cloud-based forecasting, opportunity risk management, and public sector procurement cycles
Strong growth mindset and adaptability—curious, self-aware, and willing to learn continuously in a dynamic, regulated environment
Comfortable operating independently and remotely, while maintaining strong collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders
Willingness to travel regularly across the UK for customer meetings, on-site engagement, and industry or government events
