Senior Business Development Manager, Financial Institutions

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help launch and scale a new business focused on delivering white-label installment credit card and lending solutions to banks and credit unions.
- Identify, develop, and close strategic partnerships while helping establish a new distribution channel for the company.
- Identify and engage prospective bank and credit union partners.
- Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities through outbound outreach, industry networking, referrals, and strategic relationship development.
- Lead opportunities through discovery, solution positioning, business case development, proposal creation, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Collaborate with leadership throughout the sales process to advance strategic opportunities.
- Develop relationships with stakeholders across lending, payments, digital banking, product, and executive leadership teams.
- Represent Splitit at industry events and develop relationships across the banking, credit union, fintech, and payments ecosystem.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales within fintech, payments, lending, banking, or related technology sectors.
- Demonstrated success generating pipeline, navigating complex buying processes, and closing new business.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and excited by the opportunity to help build a new business and distribution channel from the ground up.
- Strong communicator and relationship builder who can establish credibility with stakeholders from operators to executives.
- Actively using AI-powered tools to improve prospecting, account research, productivity, and sales effectiveness.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
