About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own credit portfolio performance analysis across Splash’s lending products, identifying emerging trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop and refine credit strategies balancing growth, risk management, and customer experience
  • Lead analytical investigations into portfolio performance, underwriting outcomes, and borrower behavior
  • Partner with Data Science on predictive models and risk frameworks
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate credit strategy into scalable underwriting policies, automated decisioning, and platform capabilities
  • Present strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership, the internal Credit Committee, and external lending partners
  • Design and enhance analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks for key credit and portfolio metrics
  • Influence company-wide risk strategy concerning underwriting policies, portfolio management, and credit expansion

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8–12+ years of experience in credit risk, lending analytics, or credit strategy within fintech, consumer lending, or financial services
  • Strong expertise in credit portfolio analytics, underwriting strategy, and risk management
  • Advanced experience working with large datasets and statistical analysis using SQL and Python
  • Experience partnering with data science teams on predictive modeling, machine learning, or risk model development
  • Proven ability to translate complex analysis into clear strategic recommendations for senior leadership
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, finance)
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) preferred
