About the role

  • Lead the sales strategy for identified franchises and accounts
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients that result in the achievement of target revenues
  • Successfully meet or exceed assigned quota
  • Generate market awareness through conferences and events
  • Curate leads and present capabilities to generate opportunities
  • Work with Insights leads to close opportunities
  • Work with Insights team to ensure capabilities decks are tailored to unique client need
  • Work with marketing and Franchise Heads to generate marketing and sales enablement materials
  • Forms partnership with data and research organization to ensure products are meeting needs of customer
  • Regularly engage clients/prospects to understand market demands and provide client feedback on product messaging to stakeholders
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for each target client
  • Seek and drive new business opportunities within new accounts
  • Secure and participate in client meetings with Franchise Heads
  • Maintain the sales pipeline in the company’s CRM system, HubSpot for accounts
  • Represent Spherix at designated meetings (clinical and industry)

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience selling into pharma, quant data and primary research experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead account management
  • Understands syndicated market research landscape
  • Experience delivering on a book of business of $5-10M or higher
  • Proven business acumen and track record in business/client development
  • Experience developing an effective sales strategy at the client level
  • Proven record of building productive business relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work without routine supervision and consistent track record of delivering against objectives/sales targets
  • Exceptional organization and presentation skills necessary
  • Highly engaging and collaborative working style
