Technical Support Consultant
SphereTrading Solutions Consultant at Sphere, interfacing with trading and broking clients and supporting engineering solutions. Driving technical support and enhancing customer success in global energy markets.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the client relationship from a technical perspective – act as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for trading desks, brokers, and IT teams.
- Ensure each client’s Sphere environment is healthy, performant, and aligned to their business goals through proactive reviews and monitoring.
- Drive incident and problem resolution – take ownership of technical issues from initial triage to post-incident review.
- Collaborate with engineering to diagnose root causes.
- Deliver onboarding sessions, product training, and workflow guidance to help users get the most from Sphere’s technology solutions.
- Join discovery calls to scope technical feasibility, identify integration points, and estimate implementation effort for client solutions or large-scale roll-outs.
- Capture feedback and translate real-world trading and brokerage workflows into actionable insights for our Product and Engineering teams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2:1 or above within a Computer Science degree (or directly related subject).
- At least a couple of years experience in either a client facing/technically focused role post-graduation.
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for tech outside of work, especially using AI.
- Curiosity in approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent spoken and written English, confident and able to speak to all levels of seniority within clients.
- Excellent organisation, communication, and consulting mindset.
- Willingness and ability to travel for client meetings, workshops, and in-person engagements.
