Accounting Manager

• Manage the accounting staff and accounts payable specialists; reports to Finance Director EMEA
• Manage monthly general ledger close and variance reporting for two major entities and five branches/subsidiaries
• Post and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Compile and review schedules for outside auditors and year-end audit
• Manage tax reporting (VAT, Intrastat)
• Review and approve vendor bills; initiate vendor payments
• Propose, document, and implement new accounting processes and internal control procedures
• Manage integrating acquisitions into systems and processes
• Lead country-specific statutory accounts, audit, and tax reporting requirements
• Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and contribute to projects
• Manage and develop accounting staff providing effective coaching
