About the role
- Join a small research team to define a new kind of video game experience.
- Work alongside top industry researchers and engineers (including veterans from Warudo and Google DeepMind).
- Research and develop text-to-motion, audio-to-motion, speech-driven 3D facial animation, and real-time 3D motion generation systems.
- Build anime characters and collaborate with multi-modal researchers and image/video generation teams on data collection.
- Deliver research-informed, product-focused solutions and communicate tradeoffs and deliverables.
- Significant artistic and research freedom to shape potential video games or interactive visual novels.
- Prefer on-site collaboration in primary research offices in Akihabara (Tokyo) or San Francisco; visa sponsorships available.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in training text-to-motion or audio-to-motion models.
- Publications or industrial lab experience in motion generation or related research topics.
- Ability to develop audio-synced motion-generation systems (inspired by Grok AI companion).
- Experience in speech-driven 3D facial animation.
- Experience in real-time 3D motion generation for interactive applications.
- Passion for anime and the anime aesthetic.
- Comfortable working on small, fast-paced teams and in-person collaboration in Tokyo or San Francisco.
- Ability to balance research exploration with product-focused development and communicate deliverables and tradeoffs.
