About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build a mock-up of the COMS NR/NS environment on the NATO Software Factory
Simulate current COMS NR and COMS NS functionality, including Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian Confluence, installed plugins, Jira processes, low-side/high-side workflow tracking, hand-over/take-over mechanisms, dynamic wiki page publication, and dynamic page templates
Identify and capture COMS functional and non-functional requirements in NATO AQAP-conforming format
Document data necessary for migration to a new capability
Organize requirements into logical groups to support production of a demonstration video
Capture requirements in the COMS Confluence environment and deliver the final requirements document in Word format
Create a recorded video introducing COMS and demonstrating the captured requirements
Securely host the video, deliver a copy to NCIA, and keep it available until contract end plus two months
Present a live online demonstration of the COMS mock-up environment during an NCIA industry engagement day
Ensure the demonstration environment is available and fully operational, with an alternate date possible by agreement
Participate in questions and answers during or after the demonstration

Requirements

What you’ll need

Excellent knowledge (5+ years) of Atlassian JIRA Datacenter administration
Excellent knowledge (5+ years) of Atlassian Confluence Datacenter administration
Prior experience working on the NCIA COMS Environment
Excellent knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash and Python for automation and customization tasks
Excellent knowledge of deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure
Excellent knowledge of Java, Groovy, and Scriptrunner
Strong experience in dynamic content management and integration between Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
Strong experience managing metadata in Atlassian Confluence, Office and PDF documents, and Microsoft SharePoint
Strong understanding of the inner workings of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence instances, including at database level
Experience managing Linux servers, preferably RedHat
Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
