About the role

  • Develop, lead and drive the business development and partnership function for the Wooster Games studio
  • Collaborate with executive and senior leadership to establish annual revenue and growth goals
  • Lead platform expansion strategy and relationships across Meta, Valve, Sony, Nintendo, mobile platforms, and game studios
  • Collaborate closely with General Managers, Creative Directors, and other members of Wooster Games Leadership to ensure world-class execution
  • Source, evaluate, and close strategic brand/IP partnerships across entertainment, toys, lifestyle, and creators
  • Build pitch narratives, partnership decks, and executive-level messaging for external stakeholders
  • Structure and negotiate deals that align with Wooster Games’ long-term product and community vision
  • Maintain a clear opportunity pipeline and proactively identify new growth vectors
  • Achieve or exceed annual revenue and growth goals individually, and as a team
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop employees, fostering a high-performance, innovative culture
  • Identify, attract, and retain top talent, offering opportunities for professional growth

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years in BD, partnerships, publishing, or strategy roles in gaming, entertainment, and/or brand/IP licensing
  • Experience managing high-value partnerships end-to-end (from sourcing to negotiating to execution)
  • Strong communication and presence – someone who can walk into a room with Fortune 100 execs or major platforms and drive the conversation
  • Strategic thinker with excellent operational instincts; able to zoom out and shape high-level strategy, then roll up sleeves to execute
  • Comfortable working directly with founders/executives and making recommendations with incomplete information
  • Experience with game publishing, platform relations, licensing, toy/entertainment partnerships, or cross-platform launches
  • Deep familiarity with games, youth culture, online communities, and social/UGC ecosystems
  • Ability to travel 20 - 25% of the time
