About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, interface, and end-to-end testing for application enhancements, defect fixes, releases, patching, and production support activities.
  • Review business requirements, user stories, design documents, and acceptance criteria to develop clear and effective test scenarios and test cases.
  • Execute manual test cases and document test results, defects, test evidence, and supporting details in accordance with program standards.
  • Validate application functionality, business processes, reports, interfaces, security roles, batch processes, and system integrations.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, including clear reproduction steps, screenshots, expected results, actual results, severity, and impact.
  • Work with developers, business analysts, product owners, QA leads, and support teams to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and verify defect resolutions.
  • Support test planning, test case preparation, test execution, defect triage, regression testing, and release readiness activities.
  • Assist with test data preparation, environment validation, access verification, and dependency tracking to support successful test execution.
  • Analyze test results and backend data, when needed, to help confirm issues and support root cause analysis.
  • Participate in meetings with technical and business stakeholders to communicate testing progress, risks, blockers, and quality concerns.
  • Maintain accurate testing documentation, execution reports, test evidence, and traceability artifacts to support auditability and release readiness.
  • Support continuous improvement of QA processes, testing standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Use test management, defect tracking, and collaboration tools to manage assigned testing activities and communicate status.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience testing in a complex, multi-module environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one; experience in secured federal or DoD environments preferred.
  • Experience in a DOD/DOW environment.
  • Experience testing PeopleSoft applications, especially PeopleSoft HCM.
  • Experience with UFT, PTF, Tricentis, Selenium, or other testing tools.
