About the role
- Monitor and maintain the financial health of assigned projects by collecting and analyzing financial data, assessing risks, and recommending mitigation plans.
- Build and maintain forecasts, budget vs. actuals, variance analysis, and estimate-at-completion (EAC); support monthly/quarterly close processes.
- Review monthly project expenditures for accuracy and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Process monthly revenue recognition, accruals, and customer invoicing.
- Consolidate and analyze financial data to produce insightful reports and dashboards for management.
- Prepare executive-ready briefs and monthly business reviews.
- Perform Analyses and prepare client status reports, integrated program reviews, and/or ad-hoc financial requests from clients, internal management, and other stakeholders.
- Support subcontractor/vendor cost management lifecycle, including setting up Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, and tracking subcontractor/vendor invoicing, payments, and funding variances.
- Maintain accurate expenditure records and prepare projections; submit timely requests for additional funding when required.
- Support system setup tasks, including maintaining accurate project structures in ERP/PSA systems (e.g., Unanet).
- Assist with pricing efforts for proposals: develop rate cards, cost buildups, margin analysis, and price-to-win strategies.
- Review RFP documentation and maintain compliance throughout the proposal lifecycle.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to support decision-making.
Requirements
- 3–5 years in project finance, business management, FP&A, or program operations.
- Advanced Excel skills: complex formulas (e.g., INDEX/MATCH or XLOOKUP, SUMIFS), PivotTables, and scenario modeling.
- Ability to extract and manipulate data from ERP/financial systems and deliver actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Candidate should be comfortable performing in a deadline driven environment.
- Candidate should have interest in financial analysis, pricing, and/or financial data modeling.
