About the role

  • Provide effective and strategic legal defense to clients in workers' compensation cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to build strong case strategies.
  • Manage a caseload of workers' compensation files from inception to resolution.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and depositions on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case developments.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and develop appropriate legal strategies.
  • Stay abreast of changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Proven experience as a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney.
  • Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, regulations, and case precedents.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
