About the role
- Lead all campground operations end-to-end — guest services, maintenance, housekeeping, retail, and programming.
- Hire, develop, and retain a motivated, high-performing team that reflects the values of the brand.
- Drive financial results: manage the operating budget, monitor revenue, control costs, and deliver on NOI targets.
- Own the guest experience from first impression to final checkout, resolving concerns and creating memorable moments at every touchpoint.
- Maintain the physical property to a high standard — ensuring cleanliness, safety, and a sense of pride in every corner of the campground.
- Represent Spacious Skies in the surrounding community, building local relationships that support awareness and growth.
- Collaborate with the HQ team on pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and brand programs.
- Serve as the on-call leader for after-hours needs and unexpected situations — responding with calm, judgment, and confidence.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and company-level safety and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, property management, tourism, parks & recreation, or a related guest-services field.
- A genuine hospitality instinct — you lead with warmth, handle adversity with grace, and take pride in the details that matter to guests.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, track revenue, and make data-informed operational decisions.
- Experience hiring, coaching, and developing teams in a dynamic, service-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills — with guests, with your team, and with remote HQ partners.
- Comfort with technology, including reservation and POS platforms, Microsoft Office, and basic digital tools.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours during peak seasons, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- CPO certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- A genuine enthusiasm for the outdoors — you don’t have to be a lifelong camper, but you should love the environment you’re leading in.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary with performance-based quarterly bonuses.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Basic Life and AD&D Insurance.
- Short-Term and long-term disability coverage.
- Generous paid time off, floating holidays, and a 401(k) with company match.
