About the role
- Write low-level code to control LED displays for advanced lighting products
- Research and implement aesthetic lighting effects to enhance product appeal
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, and product) to ensure seamless product development
- Create detailed design documentation and maintain clear project records
- Lead prototype development, bring-up, and validation of embedded systems
- Innovate solutions to optimize cost, size, efficiency, safety, and reliability
- Manage projects from prototyping through to mass production
- Participate in product development for PSY LIVING lighting products at Spacecurve
Requirements
- Proven experience in embedded systems engineering
- Strong programming skills C and C++ for embedded systems
- Experience with microcontroller and microprocessor-based systems
- Demonstrated innovative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Strong aesthetic sense for product design
- Ability to manage projects from prototyping to mass production
- Business-level proficiency in English
- Experience with LED display driver development (preferred)
- Knowledge of communication protocols for LED displays (e.g., SPI, I2C, DMX) (preferred)
- Electrical engineering skills (preferred)
- Experience with CAD mechanical design tools (preferred)
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese (preferred)
