About the role
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to gauge the likelihood of repayment and identify potential credit risks.
- Prepare detailed reports with recommendations for credit limits and terms.
- Perform in-depth analysis of clients' financial health, focusing on liquidity, profitability, and cash flow.
- Regularly monitor and review clients' financial performance to detect any changes in credit risk.
- Make informed credit decisions and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular reports, highlighting key trends, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and legal teams to ensure alignment on credit policies and decisions.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders in German to gather necessary information and explain credit decisions.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate credit risk and protect company assets
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Possess at least 3 years of professional experience as a Credit Analyst, ideally within financial institutions or financial service providers.
- Experience with financial modelling and risk assessment tools/software.
- Demonstrate a solid grasp of financial statements, credit analysis, and risk assessment.
- Be fluent in German, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Show proficiency in using financial analysis software and tools.
- Exhibit a keen eye for detail along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
