About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the overall product line strategy as well as tactical execution to meet corporate objectives.
- Manages cross-functionally to support all aspects of the product line inclusive of operations, sourcing, marketing, sales, engineering and other business functions.
- Coordinates market research to evaluate product requirements and identify enhancements to current features and functionality.
- Designs and implements marketing strategies, including product direction, advertising, packaging, pricing, and future development plans, while overseeing the product's life cycle.
- Advises senior management on product development strategies, providing insights into market and industry trends, customer needs, and product performance to guide decision-making.
- Attends leadership meetings, collaborating with other departments to align product strategies with overall business goals and address cross-functional challenges.
- Defines project terms for new product initiatives, including product scope, deliverables, resource allocation, and timelines, to ensure clarity and focus in project execution.
- Implements product management strategies, overseeing the full product lifecycle from concept through launch, ensuring product-market fit and profitability.
- Maintains market lead-time requirements, provides guidance on short-term and long-term capacity planning by forecasting demand and working closely with Operations.
- Ensures compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout the product development process, minimizing risks and ensuring quality control.
- Hires, trains, and develops new product management team members, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring that staff members have the necessary skills and resources for success.
- Educates and mentors team members, providing coaching on product development best practices, strategic thinking, and industry trends to enhance their professional growth.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
- Specialized Degree: Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or like fields.
- Years of Experience: 5-7 Years
- Preferred Education & Experience Specialized Degree: Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or like fields.
- Licenses/Certificates: Certification in product management or a related field (e.g., Certified Product Manager (CPM), PMP)
- Years of Experience: 8-11 Years
