Champion customer-centric innovation by leading ideation workshops fostering cross-functional collaboration to uncover and address voice of customer pain points translating insights into actionable engineering requirements.
Identify the customer’s technical pain points during the entire life cycle and translate them into new engineering requirements for products, tools, or field solutions.
Summarize product features, functionalities, code compliance, and long-term performance and submit the ideas into the Stage-Gate process.
Work directly with end users to specify products and services that meet Southwire’s five sustainability attributes from cradle to grave.
Have proficient knowledge of NEC, NESC, UL, and other relevant industry standards and specifications.
Interpret electrical/mechanical drawings (CAD, BIM), which include system accessories, to provide the best-in-class solutions.
Field(s) of Expertise: Engineering: application support and/or product experience in the Wire and Cable, Power, Utility, Manufacturing, or Electrical Industry is required.
Product engineering: Innovation, design, development, launch and commercialization.
