About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating District contracts
Providing legal support throughout all stages of the procurement process
Advising internal staff and representing the District under supervision of the Deputy General Counsel
Evaluating strategies for resolving legal problems
Generating alternative solutions and strategies
Developing a plan of action for a variety of legal issues relating to the District's operations
Reviewing legal documents, including contracts and procurement-related materials
Provides legal counsel to management and staff
Represents the District in litigation and other proceedings
Prepares and reviews legal instruments, such as licenses, leases, easements, or purchase and sale contracts

Requirements

What you’ll need

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Florida Bar License
Valid driver’s license
Attorney 2: Two (2) years' experience as a practicing attorney
