About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating District contracts
- Providing legal support throughout all stages of the procurement process
- Advising internal staff and representing the District under supervision of the Deputy General Counsel
- Evaluating strategies for resolving legal problems
- Generating alternative solutions and strategies
- Developing a plan of action for a variety of legal issues relating to the District's operations
- Reviewing legal documents, including contracts and procurement-related materials
- Provides legal counsel to management and staff
- Represents the District in litigation and other proceedings
- Prepares and reviews legal instruments, such as licenses, leases, easements, or purchase and sale contracts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Florida Bar License
- Valid driver’s license
- Attorney 2: Two (2) years' experience as a practicing attorney
