About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conducts technical review of studies, engineering designs, hydrologic & hydraulic (H&H) models, and construction documents supporting natural systems restoration and water quality improvement projects
Manages SWIM District Initiatives, ensuring alignment with project objectives, District priorities, and compliance with District procedures and policies
Negotiates scopes of work and associated professional service fees with consultants and partners
Leads project and technical presentations to internal teams, governing bodies, and external stakeholders
Provides technical guidance, mentorship, and engineering practice support to staff engineers and scientists

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
Four (4) years related work experience
Valid Florida Professional Engineer license
Valid driver's license
(For Senior Professional Engineer) Five (5) years related work experience
(For Senior Professional Engineer) Seven (7) years related work experience
Preferred: Masters or better in civil, construction, environmental engineering, or related field
Preferred: Project Management Information System experience
Preferred: Water quality project experience
Preferred: Natural systems restoration experience
