About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conducts technical review of studies, engineering designs, hydrologic & hydraulic (H&H) models, and construction documents supporting natural systems restoration and water quality improvement projects
- Manages SWIM District Initiatives, ensuring alignment with project objectives, District priorities, and compliance with District procedures and policies
- Negotiates scopes of work and associated professional service fees with consultants and partners
- Leads project and technical presentations to internal teams, governing bodies, and external stakeholders
- Provides technical guidance, mentorship, and engineering practice support to staff engineers and scientists
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Four (4) years related work experience
- Valid Florida Professional Engineer license
- Valid driver's license
- (For Senior Professional Engineer) Five (5) years related work experience
- (For Senior Professional Engineer) Seven (7) years related work experience
- Preferred: Masters or better in civil, construction, environmental engineering, or related field
- Preferred: Project Management Information System experience
- Preferred: Water quality project experience
- Preferred: Natural systems restoration experience
