About the role
- Collaborate with business lines to transform raw data into actionable insights that enable business value
- Identify and document business requirements for prioritized Data Intelligence use cases
- Assess usability and fit for purpose of data in scope for prioritized use cases
- Develop reports and dashboards in relevant BI tools to support Data Intelligence use cases and program reporting
- Act as liaison between business lines and the Data Intelligence team to assist with data-related opportunities and issues
- Support business lines with testing and validation efforts of deliverables
- Promote the value of the Data Intelligence Program and influence a data-enabled culture
- Monitor industry trends and advancements to ensure data practices align with latest standards and technologies
- Elevate data-related issues, risks, and gaps and recommend solutions to Director of Business Initiatives and/or Data Intelligence Committee
- Assist Director of Business Initiatives with managing data intelligence use cases and business line onboarding
- Support maintenance of the Data Intelligence repository (SharePoint) and ensure artifacts are current
- Manage projects per the Bank’s project lifecycle process, including developing and executing project plans, roadmaps, schedules, business requirements, and testing strategies
- Prepare reports, materials, and status updates for the Data Intelligence Committee and ad hoc requests
- Partner with IT, Information Security, Risk Management, and Privacy teams to ensure data governance alignment
- Represent Data Intelligence on committees, projects, and process forums (e.g., ARB, DCAB)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field such as Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science or Analytics is preferred
- 3-5 years in relevant banking, data, project, and/or leadership role
- Banking experience and knowledge of industry regulatory requirements is preferred
- Risk Management, Information Security, Information Technology, and/or Banking Operations experience is a plus
- Experience in establishing and executing business intelligence, data analytics, and reporting projects
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross functional teams and ability to develop, recommend, and implement solutions
- Project management experience to include developing and executing project plans and roadmaps
- Proficiency in data tools including data catalogs, data quality solutions, and BI platforms such as Power BI
- Proficiency in SQL or data platforms such as Snowflake for querying databases and developing reports/dashboards
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong leadership, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask/manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
- Ability and willingness to learn new and emerging technologies such as BI tools and artificial intelligence
- Secure home office environment free from background noise and distractions
- Reliable private internet connection (not supplied by cellular hotspot); cable or fiber preferred
- Ability to travel periodically, including overnight trips
