About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform a variety of duties related to imaging patients and ensuring smooth Ultrasound department operations
  • Provide appropriate levels of patient care and customer service
  • Perform high-quality, non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations according to established protocols
  • Produce diagnostic images of arterial and venous systems
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort and comply with regulatory and quality requirements
  • Perform high-quality, non-invasive ultrasound examinations according to established protocols
  • Perform ultrasound and radiography exams as appropriate
  • Utilize PACS, Merge, and EMR systems
  • Maintain appropriate IV/Contrast competency where required
  • Follow protocols for patient positioning, exposure control, and radiation protection
  • Communicate with everyone involved in patient care
  • Clean and inspect departmental equipment
  • Clean and stock imaging and examination rooms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree in Radiology/Ultrasound or a Certificate Program in Radiology/Ultrasound
  • RMDS or ARRT (S) registered or registry eligible
  • Registry-eligible candidates must provide proof of passing the ARDMS SPI exam before the start date and pass a corresponding specialty exam within six months of hire
  • Vascular certification with RVT, RVS, or ARRT (VS) within one year of hire, where applicable
  • BLS certification
  • Cardio-Vascular Department candidates must be registry eligible and obtain RVT, RVS, or ARRT (VS) within 6–12 months of hire
  • Breast Center candidates must meet applicable RDMS, ARRT, mammography, IEMA Radiography Accreditation, and BLS requirements within stated timeframes
  • 1–3 years of vascular sonography experience preferred for specified vascular roles
  • 1–3 years of sonography experience preferred for role 20360
  • Experience with PACS, Merge, and EMR systems
  • Ability to maintain IV/Contrast competency where required
