About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Protects the organization's employees, patients, visitors, properties and all items of value
  • Maintains general order of the local environment
  • Detects, corrects, reports, investigates, manages, and mitigates safety and security hazards and violations
  • Assists in Incident Command situations, psychiatric patient evaluations, duress alarms, and conflict situations
  • Responds and assists with all medical emergencies within the scope of training
  • Conducts patrols of buildings and property to deter criminal activity
  • Maintains records and prepares incident reports accurately

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Valid Illinois drivers license
  • Level I (within 90 days) Essentials of Aggression Management (EOAM) certification
  • Taser Certification
  • Basic certification by International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (Level II)
  • Advanced certification by International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (Level III)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Able to read and write detailed reports
  • Requires minimum of 90 days on the job experience for Level II
  • Requires minimum of 180 days on the job experience for Level III
