About the role
- Responsible for assignment of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes for patient types as assigned
- Maintains 95% coding accuracy in assignment of ICD, CPT and/or HCPCS codes
- Maintains coding productivity greater than 80% of the time
- Abstracts all pertinent information into the abstract
- Monitors Timely Filing and Unbilled reports for timely coding
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology
- RHIT, CCS, or CPC
