About the role
- Responsible for the orientation, onboarding, education, and competency validation of unit nursing staff
- Collaborates with members of the NPD team, nursing leaders, nursing staff, and other hospital departments to implement on-boarding and orientation programs for nursing personnel
- Collaborates with Nursing Professional Development Outcomes Leaders to design education programs and learning activities to address learning needs and practice gaps at the individual and unit/facility level
- Implements activities that promote professional role development and role transition
Requirements
- BSN preferred; must obtain BSN within 2 years of hire
- Current Illinois RN license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Three (3) years professional RN experience
