About the role
- Provide training and instruction to Accounts Payable Clerks
- Oversee distribution of tasks and resolve escalated issues
- Act as liaison between the team and management
- Assist in processing claims for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) vendors
- Perform Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt clearing account reconciliation
- Respond to customer and vendor inquiries regarding account information
- Code and enter accounting information into the accounting system
- Sort, file, and maintain accounts payable files
- Research and resolve accounting errors
- Assist with updating and reconciling ledgers, journals, and/or accounts
- Process federal beverage tax matching to purchase orders
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency plus 2 years of experience
- Knowledge with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), federal regulatory guidelines, and organizational objectives
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets in creating pivot tables, develop charts, and complex formulas.
